Objetivos que se pretendían alcanzar:

1.-Design and create a radio program that focuses on female students and former students

who studied at the high school and who are occupying positions that have traditionally

been held by men.

2.-Raise awareness about gender equality: Promote understanding of the importance of

gender equality in all areas, including education and the workplace

2.-Show examples of students who have broken gender stereotypes and have succeeded in

male-dominated fields, to inspire others to follow in their footsteps

3.-Fostering confidence: Helping students develop the confidence needed to pursue their

interests and careers, regardless of gender expectations

4.-Promote an open discussion about gender stereotypes and how they can be challenged

and changed in society."

5.-Offer resources and strategies for students to acquire the skills necessary to excel in

fields where there is traditionally less female representation.

6.-Create an inclusive environment: Work on creating a classroom setting that celebrates

diversity and inclusion, where everyone feels valued and supported.

7.-Familiarizing oneself with vocabulary related to discrimination, thereby fostering a

deeper understanding of this important topic and promoting an environment of respect and

empathy in the classroom

8.-Improve the students' listening comprehension by paying attention to the pronunciation,

intonation, and vocabulary used by the interviewees and interviewers

9.-Improve students' oral expression by working on formulating questions and how to

interact with interviewees, which will help them gain confidence when speaking

10.-Promote teamwork


Grado de consecución de los objetivos:

All the activities carried out have been very successful. The proposed objectives

have been more than met. The students have shown interest, motivation, and

enthusiasm for each of the proposed activities, which has improved their attitude

towards the subject and, consequently, their performance in it. It is worth noting

that all group members have demonstrated a high level of involvement in each and

every activity, resulting in improvements in both their oral and written expression


Desarrollo de la actividad:

Session 1: Presentation of the activity. Listening to a program comparable to the one they

must create, selected from the web. This program served as an example and model to guide

the students in their objectives.

Session 2,3 ,4 :The students individually researched several female students from the

school and others who were and who have held positions traditionally occupied by men.

From there, they contact de those former students who are outside the locality via email to

find out if they can and wish to participate in the activity. Following this, they held a debate

in the classroom to decide which of these women would be selected.

Sessions 5, 6, 7 : The students prepared interviews with three previously selected women.

Sessions 8,9 : In groups in the classroom, they designed the basic structure of the program,

and then in groups of four , they began drafting the three sections as well as the

introduction and transitions between each section.

They chose the music as well.

Session 10: The drafts created in the previous sessions were reviewed. In groups,

projecting them in class, they merged, corrected, and refined anything that did not seem

harmonious.

Session 11: The time of the session was spent rehearsing the program, providing guidelines

on diction and radio broadcasting.

Session 12: Interview in the school radio.
